African American Male Initiative Scholarship
To provide scholarship(s) for eligible students participating in African American Male Initiative programs at GGC, including but not limited to the Elite Scholars Program. The number and amount of scholarship recipients selected depends on the amount of funding available each year.
Andersen Family Scholarship
The purpose of the fund is to provide a scholarship or scholarships to students who demonstrate financial need, who maintain a full-time status, and a minimum GGC grade point average of 2.5. Preference will be given to entering freshmen with a high school grade point average of at least 2.8 on a 4.0 scale, who represent the first generation in their family to attend college, and who have a history of participating and who are interested in continuing to participate in service activities. Scholarship may be renewed up to four (4) years.
Another Chance Foundation Scholarship
The purpose of the Fund is to provide a scholarship or scholarships for students who
a. Have financial need and have exhausted the Pell Grant and HOPE Scholarship;
b. Are first-generation students as identified on the FAFSA;
Funding would be used to assist students in earning their degree by covering any of the following: tuition/fees, meal plans, funds needed for housing (on or off campus), cost of books and supplies, assistance with transportation, child care expenses, or other costs associated with attending GGC.
Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need. Students must maintain a minimal cumulative GGC grade point average of 2.5 and maintain enrollment in at least 6 credit hours during each term they receive the scholarship. The scholarship may be renewable as funds become available, but may not be renewed for more than four years.
Antonio Damian Scholarship
The purpose of the Fund is to provide a scholarship or scholarships in the School of Liberal Arts for under-class or upper-class students majoring in English. Preference will be given to historically underrepresented students and/or first generation college students. Additionally, students must maintain a full-time status and a minimal cumulative GGC grade point average of 3.2. The scholarship may be renewed for up to four years.
Beacon Student Emergency Fund
Students eligible to receive a grant have demonstrated financial need and require financial assistance to complete their enrollment. The GGC Foundation works with the Financial Aid Office to identify students in need and to provide them with the emergency funding support they need to begin or continue their college education. The maximum award is $1,000.
Carl D. White, Sr. Scholarship
This scholarship is for students who are dependent children of full-time employees of the Gwinnett County Police Department, the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office, City Police jurisdictions located within Gwinnett County and Gwinnett County Public School Resource Officers. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need. Additionally, students must maintain a full-time status and a minimal cumulative GGC grade point average of 2.8. The scholarship may be renewed for up to four years.
Carter Hardin Scholarship in Business Administration and Economics
The purpose of the Funds is to provide scholarships to support students who are juniors or seniors majoring in business administration and focusing in economics. Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated financial need as well as a focus on, and motivation toward, the achievement of success in Business. Additionally, students must maintain full-time status and a minimal GGC grade point average of 2.5. It is the donors’ intent that financial need and academic merit be considered equally in selecting recipients. The scholarships may be renewed for up to four years.
Cathy Moore Scholarship Fund
The gift will be used to provide scholarships to support students who are enrolled in Education Preparation at Georgia Gwinnett College. Preference will be given to students who are in their junior and senior year and have a GGC GPA of 3.0 or above. The scholarship may be renewed up to two (2) years.
Chen-Lin Foundation Endowed Scholarship
To provide scholarships to support students who are enrolled at GGC at least part time and have a minimum GGC GPA of 2.5. Preference will be given to students in the School of Business who have demonstrated financial need and have either declared a concentration in, or shown interest in, Management Information Systems. The scholarship may be renewed up to four up to (4) years.
Clyde and Sandra Strickland Business Scholarship
The purpose of the Fund is to provide a scholarship(s) for a business school student(s) who demonstrate financial need, and who maintain a full-time status and a minimum cumulative GGC grade point average of 2.5. Preference will be given to first-generation college students. The scholarship may be renewed for up to four years.
Clyde and Sandra Strickland Health Sciences Scholarship
The purpose of the Fund is to provide a scholarship(s) for Nursing school students who demonstrate financial need, and who maintain a full-time status and a minimum cumulative GGC grade point average of 2.5. Preference will be given to first-generation college students. The scholarship may be renewed for up to four years.
Clyde L. and Sandra J. Strickland Wellness and Recreation Scholarship

This scholarship fund will support GGC students who are in the exercise science program, or students who demonstrate they are involved in and have an interest in wellness and recreation at GGC. Students must have a 3.0 GPA and are in good standing with the institution. The scholarship can be awarded for up to $2,000 per semester, and is eligible for renewal for up to four years. Scholarship funds will support tuition, fees, program equipment, meal plans and housing.
Daniel J. Kaufman Scholarship
The purpose of the Fund is to provide a scholarship or scholarships for students who demonstrate financial need and who require additional financial assistance in order to progress in or complete their current plan of study at GGC. Students must maintain full-time status and a minimum cumulative GGC grade point average of 2.5 to remain eligible. Scholarships may be made available throughout the academic year and may be renewed.
Dr. Keeta Wilborn Nursing Scholarship
To provide scholarship(s) to senior student(s) enrolled full-time in the Nursing Program who have a minimum GGC GPA of 3.25, and who demonstrate the largest financial need among eligible candidates. Preference will also be given to students who demonstrate a commitment to caring for others.
Dr. Laurence M. Lesser Nursing Scholarship Fund
The purpose of the Fund is to provide a scholarship or scholarships to students in the Nursing Program. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need. Students must maintain a minimal cumulative GGC grade point average of 2.5 and must maintain full-time enrollment status. Each scholarship award is one-time per recipient and may not be renewed.
Dr. Tom Mundie Scholarship Fund
Scholarship is for students who have been admitted to the Bachelor of Science program in the School of Science and Technology. Students must be enrolled for at least 6 credit hours and maintain a GGC GPA of at least 2.5. Preference will be given to STEM majors who need some financial help to "get across the finish line" for graduation. Preference will be givent to students who are in their last or second-to-last semester, and may have lost federal financial aid due to exceeding hours or other factors. Scholarship is not renewable.
Elridge W. McMillan Scholarship
The purpose of the Fund is to provide a scholarship for students who demonstrate financial need, and who maintain a full-time status and a minimal cumulative GGC grade point average of 2.5. Preference will be given to historically underrepresented students and first generation college students. The scholarship may be renewed for up to four years.
Garrard Family Endowed Scholarship Fund
To provide scholarships to support students who are enrolled full-time at Georgia Gwinnett College, have demonstrated financial need, and maintain a minimum GGC GPA of 2.5. Preference will be given to students who are participating in the Honors Program. The scholarship may be renewed up to four (4) years.
Georgia Banking Company Wellness and Recreation Scholarship
This spend-down scholarship fund will support GGC students who are in the exercise science program, or students who demonstrate they are involved in and have an interest in wellness and recreation at GGC. Georgia Gwinnett College Scholarship Fund
The purpose of the Georgia Gwinnett College Scholarship Fund is to provide a scholarship or scholarships for students taking at least six (6) credit hours per semester. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need or who qualify based on academic merit. Merit based scholarships may be awarded to a student carrying a college prep high school GPA of 3.0 or a college matriculation GPA of 3.0 or above.
The scholarship may be renewed for up to four years and shall be administered in accordance with the Georgia Gwinnett College Annual Scholarship Policy.
GGC Aspirational Scholarship (General)
Supports GGC students who enter the college with the determination to dramatically improve their academic standing. New first-year students who enter GGC with grade point averages below a 3.0 and increase their grade point average to above a 3.25 after their first semester may be eligible for scholarships of up to $1,000 per year. Students who are enrolled full time and maintain this high standard of performance may extend additional scholarship awards for up to four years.
GGC Assurant Scholarship
This scholarship will support retention and graduation for GGC STEM or Business majors receiving these scholarships and allow them to pursue their true potential. It will bridge the gap between dropping out and graduation, especially for students who are first-generation and in populations historically underrepresented in higher education.
GGC Finish Line Grant (General)
GGC Finish Line grants help ensure that current GGC students who are close to graduation have the financial resources they need to reach their goal. Grants up to $2,000 are awarded to students with demonstrated financial need who have grade point averages above 2.0 and are within 30 credit hours of graduating. Priority is given to students who are enrolled full-time. Students may not receive the award more than twice.
GGC Nursing Scholarship Fund
The purpose of the GGC Nursing Scholarship fund is to provide a scholarship or scholarships for students enrolled in the Nursing Program. Students must maintain a GGC grade point average of 2.5, and preference will be given to those who maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher across their science courses. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need.
GGC Small Balance Grant (General)
On a regular basis, students are faced with financial hardships, and find themselves in need of immediate funding. This grant will help students obtain their dream of a college degree and will support the student by funding tuition, books, or fees via grants up to $750 for students who have a minimum grade point average of 2.0. Priority is given to students with clear demonstrated financial need and are enrolled full-time. Grants are awarded each semester on an as needed basis to help students persist in their education at GGC.
GGC Student Emergency Fund
The GGC Student Emergency Fund provides funds to support students experiencing temporary homelessness, food insecurity, financial hardship and emergency situations. Funds may be used to support programs, projects, and services that serve students experiencing hardship, including but not limited to Grizzlies Helping Grizzlies, Student Emergency Grants, GGC Care Pantry, and emergency housing.
Goizueta HACER Recruitment Scholarships

Award incoming, self-identified Latinx GGC students who enter the college with determination, aspirations to be successful, and increase their academic achievement. Criteria will be assessed as follows:
- New first year students; Must be admitted to GGC for consideration; Must be a full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours per semester, 24 credits per year)
- Award split between fall and spring semesters (not awarded for summer); Maximum $1,000 per semester
- Minimum High School or Transfer GPA of 2.5.
Applications with more than 30 transferable college credits will be considered a transfer student. Renewable annually; GPA will be assessed as it relates to increasing academic status, and priority will be given to those who raise their GPA and are in good academic standing.

Hughes Endowed Scholarship Fund (Top Honors Transfer)
Scholarships of five hundred dollars ($500.00) per semester or one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per year to support students who are transferring into the GGC Honors Program, either from within GGC or from another institution. Students must have a cumulative college GPA of 3.5 and be enrolled full time. To maintain eligibility, students must be accepted into, and continue participation in, the GGC Honors Program and maintain a cumulative GGC GPA of 3.5. Scholarships may be renewed up to four (4) years.
Joseph Family Scholarship in memory of Dr. Edwin Joseph
To provide scholarships to support students who are enrolled full--time, maintain a GGC GPA of at least 2.75, and are pursuing a course of study in the social sciences, including but not limited to human development and aging, political science, criminal justice and history. Preference will be given to students who plan to pursue careers in fields such as nonprofit administration, social work, community engagement, social justice, and/or community organizing. The scholarship may be renewed up to four (4) years.

Lawrenceville Police Scholarship
The purpose of the Fund is to provide a scholarship or scholarships in the School of Liberal Arts for students majoring in criminal justice/criminology or related fields. Related fields would apply only if no criminal justice majors are available for consideration. Preference will be given to junior or senior students majoring in criminal justice/criminology. Preference also will be given to students who are employed as police officers, or whose parents or spouses are police officers, or given to the spouses and children of law enforcement officers who have been killed in the line of duty. Recipient must maintain a full-time status as well as maintain a minimum GGC grade point average of 2.7. The scholarship may be renewed for up to two years.
Lee and Marshall Boutwell Veterans Scholarship Fund
The purpose of the Fund is to provide a scholarship or scholarships for students who maintain full-time status and a GGC grade point average above 2.0. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need and to those who are affiliated with the United States military as prioritized below.
First priority - Veterans who were wounded or became disabled during active military service.
Second priority - Veterans who served in a combat arms unit in any branch of the military.
Third priority - All other military veterans.
Fourth priority - Dependent children of those defined in the above three priority groups.
The scholarship may be renewable for up to four academic years.
Lee Boutwell Book Fund
The Lee Boutwell Book Fund supports students by providing financial assistance to procure textbooks and reading materials that are required for the classes in which they are enrolled. Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated financial need and lack alternative sources of funds for obtaining books. Students must maintain at least part-time enrollment status and a minimum GGC grade point average of 2.0.
Lettie Pate Whitehead Scholarship
The Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation’s scholarship program awards annual grants for the education of deserving female students with financial need at more than 200 accredited educational institutions in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. At GGC, the Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation scholarships are further designated for student enrolled in the GGC Nursing Program.
Linda Shumate Scholarship
The purpose of the Fund is to provide a scholarship or scholarships for students who demonstrate financial need, who maintain a full-time status, and who maintain a minimal cumulative GGC grade point average of 2.7. Preference will be given to students who have experienced the loss of a parent before 8 years of age, which has affected the student's ability to attend college. The scholarship may be renewed for up to four years.
Lonnie Harvel Memorial Scholarship
Dr. Lonnie D. Harvel was a true renaissance man. He was knowledgeable, educated, and proficient in a wide range of fields. In short, he did everything and he did it well. As a lifelong learner, it is appropriate for his legacy to include assisting others in their efforts to learn.
The Lonnie Harvel Memorial Scholarship is a need based award open to all Arts and Sciences undergraduates. Preference will be given to candidates who are Georgia, Florida or South Carolina residents, are first-year (freshman), and are pursuing their first undergraduate bachelor's degree. Candidates must have demonstrated financial need, be enrolled full-time, and must maintain a GGC GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Merri M. Brantley Scholarship Fund
The Merri M. Brantley scholarships to support students who have encountered numerous challenges but are nevertheless committed to their pursuit of a bachelor's degree. Preference will be given to students who are among the first in their families to attend college and who have demonstrated financial need. Additionally, students must maintain full-time enrollment status and a minimum GGC grade point average of 2.5. The scholarship may be renewed up to four (4) years.
Milton M. Ratner Foundation Scholarship
The purpose of the Fund is to provide a scholarship or scholarships for students who demonstrate financial need, and who maintain a full-time status and a minimal cumulative GGC grade point average of 2.5. The scholarship may be renewed for up to four years.
Pamela Kramer Nurse Leader Scholarship Fund
The purpose of the Fund is to provide a scholarship or scholarships to students in the Nursing Program. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need. Students must maintain a minimal cumulative GGC grade point average of 2.5 and must maintain full-time enrollment status. The scholarship may be renewed for a maximum of three years.
Pamela V. Chang Scholarship Fund
To provide scholarships to support a student enrolled in the GGC Nursing Program. Preference will be given to a student in good standing and who has demonstrated interests in Caribbean heritage. Students must maintain full-time status (at least 12 credit hours) and a minimal GGC grade point average of 2.5. Scholarships are awarded annually. The scholarship may be applied to cover the following: tuition, fees, books, and required program supply expenses. The scholarship may be renewed, pending available funding, for two (2) years.
Peach State Federal Credit Union First-generation Scholars
The Peach State Federal Credit Union First-generation Scholars Program will provide one scholarship annually to a first-generation incoming freshman. The student can apply for renewal for up to four years with a minimum GPA of 2.0.
Peach State Federal Credit Union Scholarship
The purpose of the Fund is to provide a scholarship or scholarships in the School of Education for students majoring in education or a content major leading to teacher certification. Preference will be given to upper-class students who will participate in a field or clinical experience semester during the academic year covered by the scholarship and who demonstrate financial need. Students must be admitted to Teacher Education, maintain a minimal cumulative GGC grade point average of 2.8 and full-time status for all semesters, with the sole exception of the student teaching semester when they must maintain at least part-time status. The scholarship may be renewed for a maximum of four years.
Peach State Federal Credit Union Student Grants Fund - GRANT
The purpose of the Fund is to provide grants to students who are in need of financial assistance to remain enrolled at Georgia Gwinnett College and continue to progress in their educational programs.
President's Choice Scholarship
• The purpose of the President’s Choice Scholarship Fund is to provide a scholarship or scholarships for students who are enrolled at GGC full-time (generally defined as taking at least twelve (12) credit hours per semester).
• Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need, maintain a cumulative Georgia Gwinnett College grade point average of at least a 3.0, and who may be ineligible for other substantial sources of aid for the applicable award semester.
• The scholarship is designed to support Georgia Gwinnett College’s goal for the retention of academically talented students. The scholarship may also be used for recruitment purposes as needed.
• Scholarship awards will generally range from $500 to $1,000 per student, and may be renewed for up to four years as funds and student eligibility permit.
Primerica Low to Moderate Income Grants
Students whose Expected Family Contribution (EFC) to the cost of their education qualifies them for the federal, need-based Pell Grant and who have an outstanding balance on their student accounts, will be invited to apply by submitting a short essay explaining their circumstances. A Financial Aid committee will review applications, giving preference to students with a GPA of 2.0 or higher and taking into consideration the facts surrounding the students' circumstances.
Grants of up to $750 per semester will be made on a semester-by-semester basis throughout the academic year, and students who face consistent financial hardship will be permitted to reapply over multiple semesters.

Stephens Aspirational Scholarship Fund
The Stephens Aspirational Scholarship provides grants of five hundred dollars ($500.00) per semester or one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per year to newly enrolled, first-year students. Students must have demonstrated financial need and have a maximum 2.99 weighted high school GPA upon entering GGC. Students must be enrolled full time and maintain a minimum 3.25 cumulative GGC GPA. The grant may be automatically renewed for up to three and one-half (3.5) years for students who maintain eligibility.
Stephens Top Honors Scholarship Fund
The Stephens Top Honors Scholarship Fund provides scholarships of five hundred dollars ($500.00) per semester or one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per year to recruit students who intend to enroll in the GGC Honors Program. Students must have a minimum 3.5 weighted high school GPA and have been accepted for admission to Georgia Gwinnett College. To maintain eligibility, students must be accepted into, and continue participation in, the GGC Honors Program, and maintain a cumulative GGC GPA of 3.5. Scholarships may be renewed up to four (4) years.
Taylor Hardin Scholarship in Business Administration and Finance
The purpose of the Funds is to provide scholarships to support students who are juniors or seniors majoring in business administration and focusing in one of the seven areas of concentration. Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated financial need as well as a focus on, and motivation toward, the achievement of success in Business. Additionally, students must maintain full-time status and a minimal GGC grade point average of 2.5. University System of Georgia Foundation Scholarship
At the discretion of the GGC president, the GGC Foundation will award scholarships to students who meet the following criteria: a. Students must demonstrate financial need. b. Students must be full-time and in good standing as at GGC.
White Family Top Honors Transfer Scholarship
This scholarship provides scholarships of five hundred dollars ($500.00) per semester or one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per year to support students who are transferring into the GGC Honors Program, either from within GGC or from another institution. Students must have a cumulative college GPA of 3.5 and be enrolled full time. To maintain eligibility, students must be accepted into, and continue participation in, the GGC Honors Program and maintain a cumulative GGC GPA of 3.5. Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of Georgia Foundation Scholarship
The Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of Georgia Foundation Scholarship provides a full tuition scholarship to a student who is a resident of Georgia and enrolled full time in an undergraduate course of study. Scholarship must be used for tuition only.
